Privacy
How this website handles your data. Short version: privacy-friendly visit statistics with no IP address, no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and one functional cookie.
To understand how the site is used we keep simple, aggregated visit statistics. For each page view we record only:
Accept-Language header (e.g. nl-NL → Dutch / NL);One third party is involved in page delivery: the standard layout files (the Bootstrap stylesheet and its icon font) are currently loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network, so when your browser fetches them that network can see your IP address. We use no analytics or advertising on top of that, and we intend to serve these files from exewrap.com itself in future so the site becomes fully first-party.
Two actions do record your IP address, because they are the ones that get abused:
Neither log can be reached over the web, and neither is shared or sold. The download log is purged by a scheduled job that deletes entries older than its retention window (180 days by default), so IP addresses there are not kept indefinitely; contact enquiries are kept for as long as we may need them to handle your request. To limit abuse we also count requests per visitor for short periods (rate limiting) — those counters store the address only as a one-way hash and expire by themselves.
This site uses a single functional cookie — a standard PHP session cookie. It holds the random per-visit id while you browse, and, where relevant, the answer to the contact form's puzzle and the token that lets you fetch a download. It contains no personal data, is not shared, and expires when you close your browser. Because it is strictly functional and used only for first-party, privacy-friendly measurement, no cookie-consent banner is required under the GDPR/ePrivacy rules.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site keeps working without them — page views simply stop being grouped into a visit. Note that blocking the cookie on its own does not remove you from the counts, because a view is recorded whether or not the cookie is there.
The ExeWrap builder you download is a desktop tool and is separate from this website. It does not phone home: license checks are performed locally against a signed license file, with no call-home and no telemetry, so it runs on air-gapped or proxied build machines. Nothing about your use of the builder is sent to us.
This page is a plain-language summary. The binding Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy govern in case of any difference.
